Lapland Igloo Village
Glide through snow-capped trees on an exhilarating husky safari and experience sleeping in an authentic snow igloo on this unique winter break. The ice hotel in Finland boasts the world’s largest snow restaurant where 150 diners can be seated at tables made of crystal ice, there is also an enchanting ice chapel, ice bar and an ice gallery. All our breaks include one night in a snow igloo or for guests who prefer the warmth there are spectacular heated glass igloos (supplementary cost) which offer panoramic views of the Northern Lights. The break which is suitable for families, couples and groups also includes an enchanting reindeer sleigh ride.
The ice hotel in Finland is suitable for a wide range of ages; children can take part in many of the excursions (depending on their age). During the holiday you will stay in a rustic log cabin which has a kitchenette, bathroom, fireplace, private sauna and small garden area. This warm accommodation is available during your night in the igloo, so you are free to return to it if you wish.
Experience the Lapland Igloo Village
We suggest taking plenty of warm clothing to the Lapland Igloo Village and dressing in layers whilst you are there. Be sure to take a hat as well as a pair of gloves, a scarf and plenty of socks. Before your night in the snow igloo you will be advised on how to stay warm during the night. All guests are provided with insulating sleeping bags which will keep them warm and snug in the igloo which maintains a temperature of -3°C and -6°C. All of our breaks at the Lapland Igloo Village are half-board.
